1-30-10 - Snowday
It snowed today… just a bit.  Then it stopped.  Then I decided to toss out the goat goodies so that it wouldn’t attract fruit flies.  When I came back in and turned to switch off the light, I saw my toe prints and thought they were photoworthy. Then I came back in and spent way too long reading about the Winchester Mystery House.

1-28-10 - Full Bloom
I went to Full Bloom with Carolyn today to talk to Pat about possibly using her space as a henna studio as needed.  I brought my camera, and happened upon a New Mom group.  Here are some of my faves: Next to some of these babies, Carolyn looks positively Asian.

1-27-10 - 3/4 moon
We spent most of today’s at Dad’s house.  When we got home, I carried the kids to bed (they’d both passed out in the car) and then ran my tripod out to see what I could do with it: This is our driveway at night - Long exposure, high ISO, looking due South: Mars, Bringer of War: If you look up and to the right of Mars, you’ll see a cross formation of four stars,...

1-23-10 - Bedtime ritual

Earlier in the day, Carolyn realized she could dump toys from the basket, so that’s now her new favorite thing to do. ...

1-5-10 ... Going out, doing stuff.
I’m still getting used to writing “10.”  It seems even smaller and more surreal than “00” was. So far, so good today.  I’m feeling up and productive, and the weather is gorgeous.  It’s been sunny and cold - my favorite combination and the one most likely to make me get out and do stuff.  So today I took the girls to Full Bloom, which has become a frequent...

1-4-10 .... Basia's Birthday!
Happy Birthday, Basia! The day started out well … I got my butt out of bed and all of our butts out the door to go to the Y for a quick workout.  I took my knitting and only got a few funny looks from people while working on a mittlet for Tyme while chugging away on a stationary bike.  You can’t beat 15 rows of knitting while burning 250 calories. It was too windy to play outside...

1-3-10 .. lazy Sunday
Not much got done for me today, but I did start a pair of fingerless mittlets for Tyme out of leftover wool/alpaca yarn (from Dad’s Santa hat).  I made up the pattern when he told me that he would like cables on the back and plain stockinette stitch on the palms.  Tyme got outside and did the finishing and caulking on the windows, so at least he was productive. In the evening, we pulled out...
